Terms of Service

Effective Date: February 25, 2026

This English translation is provided for convenience. The Korean version is the legally binding document.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the operator, Kiju Kang (hereinafter "Operator"), and the users in relation to the use of PourLog (hereinafter "Service"), a coffee tasting diary application.

The Service is a coffee tasting diary application that enables users to record, manage, and share their coffee tasting experiences.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  1. "Service" refers to the mobile application and all related web services provided by the Operator under the name PourLog.
  2. "User" refers to any person who uses the Service in accordance with these Terms, including both Members and Guests.
  3. "Member" refers to a person who has registered an account with the Service and uses it by logging in.
  4. "Guest" refers to a person who uses certain features of the Service without registering an account.
  5. "Content" refers to all data created by Users within the Service, including coffee records, photos, text, and ratings.
  6. "Cloud Sync" refers to the feature that stores User Content on servers to enable access from multiple devices.

Article 3 (Effectiveness and Modification of Terms)

  1. These Terms become effective when posted on the Service screen or otherwise notified to Users.
  2. The Operator may modify these Terms to the extent not contrary to applicable laws and regulations.
  3. When modifying the Terms, the Operator shall notify Users of the changes and the effective date at least 30 days prior to the effective date through in-app notices or email.
  4. Users who do not agree to the modified Terms may discontinue use of the Service and delete their accounts.
  5. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of the modified Terms shall be deemed as consent to the changes.

Article 4 (Provision of Service)

The Operator provides the following services:

Article 5 (Account Registration and Accounts)

  1. Account registration is performed through OAuth authentication via Apple Account or Google Account.
  2. Users may use certain features of the Service in Guest mode without registering an account. Data created in Guest mode is stored locally on the device.
  3. If a Guest User subsequently registers an account, they may transfer (claim) previously created records to their Member account.
  4. Users must maintain accurate account information and are responsible for the security of their accounts.
  5. Users may not transfer or lend their accounts to others.
  6. The Operator may refuse registration or suspend or delete accounts in the following cases:
    • Using another person's information fraudulently
    • Violating these Terms
    • Interfering with the normal operation of the Service
    • Engaging in activities that violate applicable laws

Article 6 (User Obligations)

  1. Users must comply with these Terms and applicable laws and regulations.
  2. Users shall not engage in the following activities:
    • Registering false information
    • Stealing or fraudulently using another person's information
    • Interfering with the normal operation of the Service
    • Using the Service for illegal activities
    • Unauthorized access to Service systems or networks, or exploiting vulnerabilities
    • Accessing the Service through automated means (bots, crawlers, etc.)
    • Interfering with other Users' use of the Service
    • Using the Service for commercial purposes without the Operator's prior written consent
    • Any other activities that violate applicable laws

Article 7 (Content Rights)

  1. Copyright in Content created by Users within the Service (coffee records, photos, ratings, etc.) belongs to the respective User.
  2. By posting Content on the Service, Users grant the Operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute such Content for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Service. This license terminates when the User deletes the Content from the Service or closes their account.
  3. The Operator shall not use User Content for commercial purposes beyond Service operation without the User's consent.
  4. Users warrant that the Content they post does not infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
  5. The Operator may delete or restrict access to Content without prior notice in the following cases:
    • Content that violates applicable laws
    • Content that infringes on the rights of others
    • Content that is contrary to public order and morals
    • Content that does not align with the purpose of the Service

Article 8 (Service Modifications and Interruptions)

  1. The Operator may change the content, features, and operation of the Service, and shall notify Users in advance of significant changes.
  2. The Operator may temporarily suspend all or part of the Service in the following cases:
    • System maintenance, replacement, malfunction, or failure
    • Force majeure events such as natural disasters or national emergencies
    • Other cases where the Operator reasonably determines suspension is necessary
  3. If the Operator permanently discontinues the Service, it shall notify Users at least 30 days prior to the discontinuation date and provide a reasonable period for Users to export their data.

Article 9 (Limitation of Liability)

  1. The Operator shall not be liable for the use of the Service provided free of charge, except as specifically provided by applicable laws.
  2. The Operator shall not be liable for Service disruptions caused by the User's own fault.
  3. The Operator shall not be liable for any failure of Users to obtain expected benefits from the Service, or for any damages arising from Users' selection or use of Service materials.
  4. The Operator shall not be liable for the accuracy or reliability of Content posted by Users.
  5. The Operator shall not be liable for inability to provide the Service due to force majeure events such as natural disasters, war, or service interruptions by telecommunications providers.
  6. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator's total liability to any User shall not exceed the total amount paid by such User to the Operator for use of the Service.

Article 10 (Damages)

  1. The Operator or User shall be liable for damages caused to the other party by violating these Terms.
  2. The Operator shall not be liable for damages caused by failures, errors, or interruptions of the free Service, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence by the Operator.

Article 11 (Dispute Resolution)

  1. These Terms and any disputes relating to the use of the Service shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. In the event of a dispute between the Operator and a User regarding the use of the Service, both parties shall negotiate in good faith for an amicable resolution.
  3. Any disputes that cannot be resolved through negotiation shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court as the court of first instance.

Article 12 (Miscellaneous)

  1. Matters not specified in these Terms shall be governed by applicable laws or customary practices.
  2. If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
